A pale blue tabard flutters over Alaric's armor, Amber's unicorn rampant upon it. His eyes are that same pale blue, his hair blue-black, as if he had nearly been wrought all of one color in varying shades. Belying that is the rest of his face, tanned and smiling: he appears open and honest, however unlikely that might be.

Alaric was the younger by forty minutes of Faiella's twins, and he and Eliska were inseparable despite their wildly differing paths. Alaric was a warrior like his three elder brothers, but unlike any of them, it was not power or vengeance or even love of matters martial that spurred him, but that rarest thing for a Prince of Amber to have: ideals. He died with Eliska in a rockfall several centuries ago. Their corpses were retrieved and brought home to Amber for burial.

In the mythology surrounding the royals' Trumps and the Tarot in Amber, Alaric is frequently depicted as the Sun: upon horseback in full, shining armor, radiant with light.
